*High waist pants aren't reading right. He's got Super Rufus's forearms—so, not so much. Keep cutting these guys off at awkward places.

Moby Dick : Captain Ahab

As strange as it may sound, I have found myself being haunted by Moby Dick the last few days. Example: auto correct on my phone is turning "whatever" into "wharves." ... and so I found myself at my drawing table trying my hand at the mad captain himself.

Not a stopping point, but definitely moving toward the finish.
Proportions are a bit off, and ALL THAT HAIR.
Finding the visual narrative of the project is as important
as the words for establishing tone.
I have wrestled with design of elements, and find at the end of the day I am best following my initial instincts.
Sometimes to find the path you must wander off it.*
